Vom 3. bis 30. Juni 2026 zeigt der Fotograf Pascal Bovey am Bundesverwaltungsgericht die Ausstellung «METAMORPHOSIS».
Im Zentrum steht ein fotografischer Vergleich: Fünfzehn Personen sind jeweils zweimal porträtiert – im Alltag und in ihrer Drag-Identität. Die beiden Bildzustände stehen gleichwertig nebeneinander und machen Transformation als bewussten, gestalteten Prozess sichtbar und nicht als Verkleidung oder blosse Inszenierung.
Die Gegenüberstellungen hinterfragen vertraute Gegensätze wie privat und Bühne. Statt zwei klar getrennte Identitäten zeigen die Arbeiten eine Identität im Wandel. In der Verdichtung der beiden Zustände entsteht ein Spannungsfeld, in dem Identität als veränderbar und vom Blick abhängig erfahrbar wird. Ergänzt wird die Ausstellung durch Einblicke in den Entstehungsprozess. Diese zeigen Drag als körperliche und künstlerische Praxis – als Handlung, durch die Identität nicht nur dargestellt, sondern aktiv geformt wird.

From June 3 to 30, 2026, photographer Pascal Bovey presents the exhibition “METAMORPHOSIS” at the Federal Administrative Court.
At the heart of the exhibition is a photographic comparison: fifteen individuals are portrayed twice — once in everyday life and once in their drag identity. The two visual states are presented side by side as equals, revealing transformation as a deliberate and creative process rather than a disguise or mere performance.
These juxtapositions challenge familiar oppositions such as private life and stage persona. Rather than depicting two clearly separated identities, the works present identity as something in flux. Through the condensation of these two states, a field of tension emerges in which identity becomes perceptible as mutable and dependent on perspective. The exhibition is complemented by insights into the creative process. These reveal drag as both a physical and artistic practice — an act through which identity is not only represented, but actively shaped.

Du 3 au 30 juin 2026, le photographe Pascal Bovey présente l’exposition «METAMORPHOSIS» au Tribunal administratif fédéral.
L’exposition s’articule autour d’une comparaison photographique : quinze personnes sont portraiturées à deux reprises — dans leur quotidien et dans leur identité drag. Les deux états visuels sont présentés côte à côte sur un pied d’égalité, rendant visible la transformation comme un processus conscient et créatif, et non comme un déguisement ou une simple mise en scène.
Ces confrontations remettent en question des oppositions familières telles que sphère privée et scène. Plutôt que de montrer deux identités clairement séparées, les œuvres présentent une identité en mouvement. Dans la condensation de ces deux états naît un espace de tension où l’identité apparaît comme changeante et dépendante du regard porté sur elle. L’exposition est complétée par des aperçus du processus de création. Ceux-ci montrent le drag comme une pratique à la fois corporelle et artistique — un acte par lequel l’identité n’est pas seulement représentée, mais activement façonnée.
