TORERO

During my year in Alicante, I had the privilege to assist to a traditional corrida, which are pretty rare there. Corridas are only held during some periods of the year, typically during the "Fiestas de Hogueras" in June. Although I do not support bull fighting, I found it extremely interesting to witness the delicacy of the toreros opposed to the roughness of the bulls. The costumes and the gesture of the toreros made me think of them more as (sexy) dancers than fighters. I deliberately chose not to show any harmed bull in this series of photographs to focus more on the almost delicate toreros.
